People, Planet, Performance
As an over 80 years old family-owned company we have understood the importance of taking care of People. Our actions aim to optimize our employees satisfaction and create an environment where everyone feels at home and has best possible circumstances for making the most of their skills and talents when at work. We are monitoring the “pulse” by annually measuring the eNPS.
The Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is a simple, standardized metric measuring employee loyalty and satisfaction by asking how likely staff are to recommend their workplace (0–10 scale). We strive to constantly increase this score listening to our employees, creating an environment which is safe physically as well as psychologically. We work to increase employee expertise and give opportunities to grow within our organization. We find it also important to organize casual get-togethers such as BBQ-parties for our staff to get to know each other also on a personal level. This adds up to friendly and familiar atmosphere.
We have been working and producing instruments for almost a century on this Planet. We appreciate this and want to give something back to ensure future wellbeing of people, natural resources and a healthy environment. We’ve been measuring the carbon foot print of our operations and the value chain for years to better understand how we can further contribute to decrease our footprint. The report covers CO2 emission scope 1-3. Our measures are related to lowering energy consumption and lowering our waste load. We are also actively monitoring the amount of plastics used in our operations. Our goal is to continue reducing the amount of plastic and to find more sustainable alternatives to replace plastic in for example packaging. Our operations are guided by the ISO 14001 standards.
We believe that Performance is created by acting according to good corporate governance. This means that from shareholders to stakeholders everyone have their own clear role and responsibilities. Our management is based on integrity, fairness, transparency and responsibility. Kytola’s backbone lies in the ISO 9001 Quality management system that encourages us to constantly improve our operations and operational environment for better and more sustainable performance in everything we do.
