Kytola supplies flow meters for various different liquids used in industrial applications. Fluid parameters that affects to the flow meter selection are for example the density, the viscosity and the chemical compatibility. Please contact Kytola for a further support regarding your specific process fluid.

Flow rate

All Kytola standard gas flow meters are calibrated for air at +20°C/101,3 kPa. We can also supply a tailor-made scale for your process specific operating conditions. The slide button enables you to calculate an equivalent flow rate value according to your operating conditions. This value is comparable to our standard air scales. Another option is to select an air flow range (+20°C/101,3 kPa) from the drop-down menu.

Equivalent flow rate calculation

Type the flow rate (Q), select the gas from the drop-down menu or select Other gases and type the gas specific gravity (SG) value, type either the inlet or the outlet normal operating pressure depending on which one is known and stable and type the normal operating temperature. Please note that it is important to know the real pressure and temperature inside the metering tube. If the inlet pressure is known the optional flow adjusting valve must be in outlet side of the meter. If the outlet pressure is known the valve must be in inlet side. Qeqv value is comparable to our standard air scales and you can use it to find potential flow meter model(s). Please contact Kytola to confirm the model selection and the exact available scale range(s).
